Dear Mobbers,

My name is Albert, I am an architect and I am passionate about everything related to sharing and learning, above all, as a community. I was born in Barcelona and have lived in Chicago and Madrid. For all these and many other reasons, I have been in the world of coworking for years and destiny has led me to become part of the MOB family.  I have been a senior partner since founding MOB Caterina in 2018, where I have been the most active.

As announced by our founder Cecilia Tham, I am now the CEO of MOB taking over from Alejandro, who has been involved with the project for several years and has led our community to grow with MOB Bailén (2011), MOB Pau (2015) and MOB Caterina (2019). I would like to personally thank all those who have participated and led the project so far, for having created and managed these wonderful spaces that invite you to dream of taking them further.

In addition, I would like to thank all those who have supported us during these difficult months of Covid19 because without you most certainly the situation would be much more difficult.

Without a doubt, the vision, objectives and values of MOB will remain true. We are an evolving community and team, we have to adapt daily, to move forward and be better.  In our current challenging moment, I would like to share with you what we will be focusing on in our near term future.

MOB is not just coworking, it is far beyond that. 

Each and every one of us wants to be part of something bigger, and being part of this community means having a real impact on areas beyond the day-to-day operation of our spaces. We will work together on causes that unite us and of which we can be proud. We want to see a more sustainable, greener and fairer world, through creativity and innovation. The beauty of this project is to be able to have more influence on our environment, counting on the potential of an active and committed community, seeing it grow, improve and accompany it as much as we can.

Full commitment to protect the respect for our MOB community. 

There is no room for any kind of discrimination, be it racial, sexual, political or religious. Movements like #BlackLivesMatter and #MeToo show us the way forward. We must respond with the highest of standards and therefore, measures will be taken during this month to ensure that situations do not occur that are not aligned with our values. Our founder Cecilia is willing to be in charge of this project, and would love to start conversations with MOB members on how to implement that. Anything you wish to share will be heard with attention, respect and trust.  

Ensuring safe spaces during Covid19: 

This pandemic has affected us all and especially MOB as a coworking space.   We are collaborative spaces that are nurtured by people and their interaction. We love having you around and knowing about you, so we will do everything necessary to make you feel safe in our home.

Our focus will continue to be on our family and coworkers. We will dedicate our time and effort to ensure that all of this happens, keeping all channels open to your comments, suggestions and ideas. Apreciados Mobbers,

Como algunos sabéis, en las últimas semanas ha habido cambios en la estructura de MOB. Es por ello, que primero de todo quiero presentarme para los que no me conozcáis.

Me llamo Albert, soy arquitecto y me apasiona todo lo que tenga que ver con compartir, aprender de otros y crecer en comunidad. He nacido en Barcelona y vivido en Chicago y Madrid. Por todo ello, hace años que estoy en el mundo del coworking y el destino me llevó a formar parte de la familia MOB. Desde 2018 soy uno de los socios de este proyecto, y hasta ahora he estado especialmente activo en MOB Caterina.

Como anunció nuestra socia fundadora Cecilia Tham, soy ahora el Director General de MOB cogiendo el relevo de Alejandro, que durante varios años ha estado liderando el proyecto y que ha llevado nuestra comunidad a crecer con MOB Bailén (2011), MOB Pau (2015) y MOB Caterina (2019). Quiero agradecer personalmente a todos los que han participado y liderado el proyecto hasta ahora, por haber conseguido tener unos espacios potentes que invitan a soñar con llevarlos más allá.

Además, quiero dar las gracias de una manera especial a todos aquellos que nos han apoyado durante estos meses complicados de Covid19 ya que sin vosotros, todo sería mucho más difícil.

Así pues, la visión, objetivos y valores de MOB seguirán siendo vigentes. Somos una comunidad y equipo cambiante, tenemos que adaptarnos diariamente a los nuevos tiempos para progresar y ser mejores. Es por eso que se nos plantean múltiples retos:

MOB no es sólo un coworking, es mucho más que eso

Todos y cada uno de nosotros queremos ser partícipes de algo mayor, y ser parte de esta comunidad significa tener impacto real en ámbitos más allá del día a día de nuestros espacios. Queremos ver un mundo más verde, más sostenible, y más justo a través de la creatividad y la innovación. Trabajaremos juntos en causas que nos unan y de las que nos podamos sentir orgullosos, teniendo en mente lo que nos define: creatividad e innovación. Lo bonito de éste proyecto es poder tener más influencia en nuestro entorno, contando con el potencial de una comunidad activa y comprometida, viéndola crecer, mejorar y acompañar tanto como podamos.

Compromiso total para proteger el respeto en toda la familia de mobbers

No hay cabida para ningún tipo de discriminación, ya sea racial, sexual, política o religiosa. Movimientos como el #BlackLivesMatter o #MeToo nos enseñan el camino a seguir. Debemos responder con el más alto de los estándares y por ello, se tomarán medidas durante este mes para asegurarnos que no ocurran situaciones que no estén alineadas con nuestros valores mediante protocolos y espacios de encuentro en la comunidad. Nuestra fundadora Cecilia estará al cargo de este proyecto, y estará encantada de tener conversaciones con miembros para ver cómo implementarlo. Cualquier cosa que se quiera compartir será escuchada con atención, respeto y confianza.

Aseguramos unos espacios seguros de Covid19

Esta pandemia nos ha afectado a todos y especialmente a MOB como coworking. Somos espacios colaborativos que se nutren de las personas y su interacción. Nos encanta teneros cerca y saber de vosotros, con lo que haremos todo lo necesario para que os sintáis seguros en nuestra casa. 

Nuestro foco seguirá puesto en nuestra familia y coworkers. Dedicaremos nuestro tiempo y esfuerzo para asegurar que todo ello ocurra, manteniendo todos los canales abiertos a vuestros comentarios, sugerencias e ideas.
